YOGA

I am inspired by the philosophy and practical road maps yoga offers to the body, mind, and on a subtle level, ultimately leading us to our highest Self. I would like to teach students how to integrate some of the rich yogic teachings in their own lives. Starting with an invitation to practice Hatha yoga with me, cultivating a deep connection to your breath and your spiritual heart all while building a reverence for the practices that have brought me so much healing and joy.

Although I truly enjoy meditation, moving the body in asana postures is one of the essential practices in yoga to experience and move stagnant energies. It is the oil to the joints, keeping us nimble and rooted in who we are day in and out. Like the roots to a tree reaching deeper and deeper, we find ourselves setting a stronger foundation starting from the ground on up, walking taller, lifting our faces toward the sun and soaking in everything yoga has to offer.

Yoga Classes

Rooted in the Tantra Yoga tradition, steeped in Anusara training, expect a soulful, heartfelt approach to Hatha yoga with Amy. Move slowly at times or vigorously but always with intention and care for proper alignment in Asana, setting a foundation for safe movement. Create ritual and a deeper connection to Self, using mantra, meditation, and pranayama practices that Amy hopes will help illuminate your inner space, expanding from the inside out.

Personal yoga coaching

For anyone wishing to delve more deeply into yoga and experience one-to-one guidance cultivating a safe, nurturing, and supportive practice. Hands on adjustments, along with props and modifications to create a practice that is both beneficial and enjoyable to you.
